Sarah & Ryan met in October 2004 while both studying Broadcast & Cinematic Arts at Central Michigan University, but they did not meet in class. A mutual friend, Nate McAlpine, introduced the couple at a party he was throwing after a meeting of the campus chapter of the National Broadcasting Society. In March 2005, they both attended the NBS national convention in Los Angeles, CA and fell in love with the sunshine, the mountains, the beach, and the hustle & bustle of the big city. In August 2006, not long after Sarah's graduation from CMU in December 2005, they went for it and moved to Los Angeles. While in California, Sarah worked in radio advertising while Ryan became the manager of the Professional Audio department at Guitar Center right on famous Sunset Blvd.
But after 5 years on the west coast, they knew it was time to move back home to Michigan. They returned to Michigan in May 2011 and currently reside in Dearborn. Sarah is working at a company that specializes in marketing promotional products, while Ryan went back to school. Ryan received his Associate degree from Henry Ford Community College in May 2012 and will be receiving his Bachelor degree from Wayne State University in December 2013.
